However if there is structural damage as in wood beams or sill plates, floor joist, wall studs or ceiling joist or rafters, the person doing the repair should have an understanding of how to support the house in the areas where the repairs are being done at, so that no more damage is done to the structure of the house or building and nobody get hurt in the process.
Before the damage it repaired, it it’s termite, carpenter ants or any other wood eating insects, it should be treated by a qualified person who is experienced in that area.
If the damage was cause by water leaking into house, make sure the areas of water penetration have been seal up before making the repairs.
